myExplorer Green Route

The perfect route for lovers of nature and history. The first major stop on the Green Route is Samarés Manor with its varied and beautiful gardens and manor tours. From here, the route heads towards Gorey Village before stopping at Gorey Pier in front of the imposing Mont Orgueil Castle, which is open to the public.

Alternatively, enjoy the range of restaurants along the Pier and towards the village. Having enjoyed all that the picturesque harbour has to offer, continue to La Hougue Bie and discover the treasures of the 6,000 year old neolithic site with its medieval chapel. The route terminates at Durrell - the world-famous conservation trust founded by Gerald Durrell. Leaving Durrell, you can catch either the myExplorer Green Route or the Mybus routes 3a, 3b, 23 and 26.

For walkers, stop at St Martin's Public Hall from where you can follow our guided walk through the woods to St Catherine.
